How we work on your job

Every job runs to a written, site-specific rescue plan — not a generic risk assessment. Before we go afloat, everyone knows the hazards, the rescue methods and the alarm procedure.

  1. Job-specific rescue plan

A full rescue plan for your site and task: hazard identification, safety measures, operational procedures and rescue methods, including pre-planned scenarios for persons overboard, casualties in the water and vessel breakdown.

  2. Pre-start checks & sign-off

Equipment and comms checked before every shift, with the plan signed off by the coxswain, crew and your site supervisor before work begins.

  3. On station while you work

The boat holds position with lines of sight to everyone on or over the water, ready to respond immediately — throw line, reach, or alongside recovery as the situation demands.

  4. Emergency comms & escalation

Direct VHF contact with the Coastguard (Mayday, Channel 16) and TEES VTS (Channel 14), with first aid and casualty care on board until handover to the medical team.

Rescue equipment carried

Life ring · horseshoe buoy · safety throwing lines · recovery kit · life jackets for crew and casualties · first aid kit on board — all checked pre-start.
